Key experts involved in the project

 

Professor Franco Baldoni established himself as one of the world’s first and most productive academics in the study of Paternal Postpartum Depression. Besides being a psychotherapist, he worked as a researcher and professor at the University of Bologna. 
 

Dr. Sharin Baldwin is a trained nurse, midwife, health visitor with almost 30 years of experience working in the NHS. She qualified as a health visitor in 2002 and has experience working in a range of leadership, professional development and clinical academic roles throughout her career.

She works as Nursing Clinical Academic Lead at London North West Healthcare Trust. She is a Queen’s Nurse, Fellow of the Institute of Health Visiting (FiHV), iHV Perinatal Mental Health Champion and iHV Health Visitor Research Champion.

She is an editorial board member for the Journal of Health Visiting and peer reviewer for numerous professional bodies and journals, including NIHR, iHV, British Journal of Nursing, British Journal of Midwifery, BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, International Journal of Nursing Studies, Primary Health Care Research and Development, and Journal of Midwifery.


Dr. Andrew Mayers is an academic psychologist specialising in mental health, particularly perinatal mental illness and young people's mental health. He actively campaigns for raising better awareness for mental health, and challenge stigma and discrimination.

He serves on several local and national advisory groups for maternal mental illness. He's a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). He is an advisor to Peppy Baby, a UK company providing workplace support for perinatal mental health.
